I'm so very proud of what we achieved with the Farmers Hoedown 2025, which took place on Sunday 14 September. It was such an incredible event to work on with The Red Lion in Stodmarsh and today we found out we raised £2,500 for charity! Wow! This is why I do what I do - to see all the work we'd put in come together and months of promotion, marketing and PR pay off!
The Farmers Hoedown 2025 had (at least) double the attendance of our 2024 event and we raised £750 for each charity including RABI - The Farmers Charity, FCN - Farming Community Network, and St Mary's Church in Stodmarsh. The one-day event featured a program of live country music, hog roast, BBQ, tractor display, mechanical rodeo bull, bouncy castle, farmers tug of war, and the return of the Stodmarsh Village Fete, with a selection of local wares and produce.
A huge thank you to the Canterbury Young Farmers Club for all of their help with the event and to the village locals for bringing the village fete back! We're so grateful to everyone for their support and for putting the pub on the map. Despite the weather we had a fantastic time and we're already planning 2026!
